BIOGRAPHY
Juliana Causi is a published editorial, portrait, industrial and commercial photographer and digital artist, professionally trained at Toronto Metropolitan University (formally known as Ryerson University). She continues to develop her skills in this city of rich and vast opportunity. Her work focuses on fine art photography, portraits and mixed media. The types of processes that she explores are through traditional film, digital photography and screen-based illustrations. She has a body of powerful pieces whose colour, lighting, tone and composition create a process of creative storytelling. Within the different aspects of her work, she continues to investigate various themes of the human body, womanhood and femininity. Her self-portraits remain intriguing for viewers, not only by capturing the physical state but also by sharing insight into her life, surroundings, and state of mind. Offering these images to the viewers brings them closer to the artist as they become part of Juliana’s journey of self-expression, identity, exploration and definition.
